Staff members of GCHE attended a training for The Humane Society of the United States' End Dogfighting Humane Education program.
Sandy DeLisle from The HSUS Chicago office came to Atlanta to teach the curriculum that has been successfully taught in Chicago schools for more than two years.
The program is for middle school students.
The End Dogfighting Humane Education program is one part of the End Dogfighting program in Atlanta.
Other elements include free obedience and agility training for young men and women in targeted neighborhoods.
The training teaches new ways to be proud of their dogs, without fighting.
